Traffic in School Holiday. It is common that every time schools are having holiday, the traffic will be lighter than ever. This morning I started around 7 am from home and amazingly arrived at SCBD area around 7.30 am. This was unusual while sometime the earliest I could get is around 8 am.

Does school holiday really affect the traffic condition in Jakarta? Or is it just my lucky day? But it really happens. I guess why there are so many cars in this city due to most of school kids are rich, they could afford to buy cars (doh! it is not good hypothesis).

I have another thinking that today is a lucky number. Try to rearrange today’s date based on DDMMYYYY then you will get 20062007. That’s why today’s traffic is so light (again another poor scientific hypothesis!). It is just like another ‘lucky’ day dimana orang banyak yang mo married yaitu 070707 (07 Juli 2007). Quoted from a source, usually they had about 5 requests in a month but at that date only KUA received more than 40 couples requesting the service.

I agree with Richard in some ways, we should shift our working hours especially now we live in information super highway era. We could work remotely. Most of us could afford mobile and laptop. I would please to anyone who can buy me one hehehe. There will be a thin line between home and office. It could be good and could be bad!
