What will Bill Gates do after retirement? Some possible ideas:
1. Spend all of his money travelling around the world.
2. Buy lot of island (not just one island) and develop Cyber Island on it.
3. Donate to poor people

In fact I could not think of any what to do if I got those billion bucks in my account at the moment. So what do you think?

Few days ago I tried to withdraw some money from my Paypal account to my local bank (Indonesian Bank) BCA. It stated if you withdraw less than Rp 1.5 mill they would charge you Rp 16,000. That’s fine. I have only less than USD 100 to be withdrawn. I tested this service using only this amount. The exchange rate was quite good too. It was approximately (almost) Rp 9,100 per 1 USD.

According to Paypal info, the withdrawing process from Paypal to my BCA would take around 5 business days. I requested the witdrawing process on last Friday and voila it already arrived on next Tuesday. In fact, the Paypal withdrawing process were done within 3 business days only as we do not count Saturday and Sunday.

This would be a good thing towards the e-commerce in Indonesia. We have a supporting payment processor that can go over international boundaries on this thing. We can sell and buy things using this Paypal. I wish that every Indonesian paypal’s users abide the rules thus the Paypal will not put blacklist on us anymore.

Firefox 3 is finally ready to be downloaded. Mozilla is trying to break the record of the most downloaded software in one day. So far up to this second, already close to 3 millions downloads all over the world.

I found that Firefox 3 is faster than the previous version one. It has new Gecko rendering engine that handles AJAX heavy pages quickly. Gmail and Google Document site are faster with less lag to open the links. It loads less time than other browser. CSS is fine too. So far I haven’t found any anomaly when regularly browsing certain sites.

One thing bothers me which is the incompatible add-on. I use Firebug a lot. I need to upgrade the Firebug to 1.2 Beta which I think it does not look good compare to the one in FF 2. However other add-ons look fine, they are automatically upgraded when you install FF3 for the first time.

So why don’t you try it now! Now my primary browser is FF3, while I still need IE6 installed for my development purpose.

One of the oldest Mac is PowerBook G3 Pismo. It is equipped with 400MHz G3 Processor and 256MB RAM with only 6GB of hard disk space (It is greater than Asus EEE PC, isn’t it?). Originally it has MacOS 9 as the standard package. Back to 2000, I bought an original Connectix Virtual PC 3 Windows 98 that can run smoothly on OS 9 (it was around AUD 300+). Yeah Win98 and Win2000 were both the good thing at that time.

As we have a new lineup of Apple, Intel MacBook White, which just coming to the house, I just got an idea to go back to OS 9 and tried to reborn Win98SE into the oldest PowerBook. The other PowerBook G4 is still running OSX. The latest MacBook, of course, already powered by “the Leopard”.

As you can see from the picture, it is the screenshot of Win98SE emulated from OS 9, powered by only 400MHz. I tried to install Java 1.5 runtime. It ran well but slow (What can you expect, dugh!)

Later I will take a picture of all three Macs line up and connected together in our new network.

FREE SEO Software by payxander

Dear Friend!

If you have dreams of building an Internet Marketing empire that generates enough cash for you to quit your job, requires only a few hours of work per day, and allows you to live your dream lifestyle, this letter could be the turning point in your business, your finances, and your life.

I’m not sure what you think or know about running a profitable online business, but the truth is you only need to do 3 things to make it work:

1. Generate traffic to your sites - I’m sure this isn’t a new idea to you, but the first step in making any money online is getting people to visit your site. The important point that’s often missed about traffic, however, is that you need to do it consistently, and you need a way to do it that you know costs you less than you earn from it. All the traffic in the world is great, but if you go broke getting it you won’t have much of an empire.

2. Capture targeted prospects on an email subscriber list - the fact is, the most valuable asset you’ll ever own for your online marketing is your list of subscribers. Why? Because they are targeted, they believe you can offer them some value, and they will buy on your recommendation again and again–which is the #1 source of profits for the “big name” pros you see everywhere online. Building a list allows you to market repeatedly to a growing number of potential buyers.

3. Convert your list into a continuous, predictable, and growing income stream - you have traffic to your site, you are capturing subscribers, and you’re building a list. The last vital step in really making money is to systematically develop your relationship with your subscribers, build their trust, and offer products and services they really need and can benefit from using. It takes time to learn the right way of doing this–the bond of trust is hard to build and easy to destroy, and once it’s gone you’ve lost any possible income potential from those prospects. But when done right, your faithful subscribers will generate enough cash for you to live any type of life you want with complete freedom.

PHP MySQL Database Scripts - Generate Online by satya

History of PHP

PHP (it originally was abbreviation of for Personal Home Page) was first written by Rasmus Lerdorf . These were Perl scripts to track users of his Web pages. On communication and suggestions from other people he rewrote it as a scripting language and added support for forms. As its popularity grew, a core group of developers created an API for it and turned it into PHP3. Presently we have version 5. (PHP5) and its growth is likely to continue.

Plus Points of PHP.

PHP will run on all platform, including most UNIXs, Windows(95/98/NT/2000) and Macs. As this uses the same code base, all scripts will run identically on all the platforms.

PHP is similar to C. So anyone who has experience with a C-style language will easily learnd PHP. In C-style languages we can also include Javascript and Java. In fact, much of PHP’s functionality is provided by wrappers around the underlying system calls (such as fread() and strlen()) so C programmers will immediately feel at home.

PHP is extendible. This allows programmers two ways of extending PHP to do some special processing, either by writing an extension module and compiling it into the executable, or by creating an executable that can be loaded using PHP’s dynamic loading mechanism.

PHP currently will load into Apache, IIS, AOLServer, Roxen and THTTPD. Alternatively, it can be run as a CGI module.

Lots of database interfaces. PHP currently will work with MySQL, MS SQL, Oracle, Informix, PostgreSQL and many others. These are binary level interfaces, and ODBC is also provided for those situations where the database is not supported.

If a PHP user wants to interface to particular library, then it is easy to write an interface for it, and many have done so, and contributed to the main PHP source repository. So you can find modules for graphics routines, PDF files, Flash movies, Cybercash, calendars, XML, IMAP, POP and a host of others. If the library you need is not supported, you can either write one yourself, or employ your favourite programmer to do it.

PEAR. The PHP Extension and Add-on Repository. Similar to the CPAN network for Perl, although still in its infancy, the idea of PEAR is to provide a set of PHP scripts that would be installed by default with the PHP installation

Fast. PHP is normally used an Apache module and this makes it very fast. It is entirely written in C and is quite small, so loads and executes quickly with small memory footprint.

PHP is Open Source. Therefore programmers are not dependent on a particular manufacturer to fix things that don’t work.

What are the main disadvantages of PHP?

A scripting language has advantages and disadvantages. PHP also has some disadvantages. Some are direct disadvantages and some are indirect regarding functionality. PHP’s main drawback is Error Handling. PHP has a very poor ability in this regard, but even this disadvantage can be over come using a feasible advantage solution.

If you desire a PHP MySQL database script in quick time visit www.multidbscripts.com where you can generate online in under a minute a PHP MySQL database script along with the associated html pages once you have entered your fields

Banners and pop-up windows may exist everywhere. When you are navigating to the web-site, ad blocks just appear on the screen disappointing your attention and slowing down data transfer rate. To avoid viewing of ads and other unnecessary information you can use handy banner blocker software: Anti-AD Guard and Anti-AD Guard PRO.
